The AsteRx-m™ GeoPod upgrades professional tablet PCs with a high accuracy GNSS receiver, giving the user access to sub-meter, or even centimeter, accurate positions without needing specialized equipment. Using a standard USB connection, the AsteRx-m™ GeoPod can be connected to any professional tablet, giving the user free choice to select a device.

The receiver uses satellites from the GPS & GLONASS constellations to increase the availability of a high quality position solution, even in areas with bad satellite visibility. In addition, the receiver offers innovative tracking and positioning algorithms designed for demanding professional environments.

The included RxAssistant software takes care of configuring the receiver and connecting to NTRIP-capable RTK or DGNSS networks, allowing a seamless integration with existing software applications like esri ArcGIS™ for mobile.

Terrastar-D

Precise Positioning Service

Septentrio has implemented TERRASTAR® global high accuracy DGNSS positioning service and GNSS Precise Point Positioning service in its GNSS receivers, providing our customers access to decimeter accuracy even in the most remote areas, without the need for ground infrastructure.

The TERRASTAR-D® service is a precise positioning service designed to deliver decimeter-level position accuracy, globally. The service is based on Precise Point Positioning (PPP) – a technique where all GNSS system errors are removed or minimized by direct calculation, precise modeling or estimation.

PPP consists of a single set of corrections to the satellite orbits and clocks, allowing position accuracy to be maintained regardless of user location. Measurement precision is achieved by using both L1 and L2 carrier phase observations, along with C/A and P-Code measurements.

The use of dual-frequency GNSS hardware at the user end allows the calculation and removal of local ionosphere errors, while troposphere delays are estimated within the calculation. Other sources of error, including ocean loading, earth tides and phase windup are also modeled.

TERRASTAR-D® is a GPS and GLONASS service that provides a truly global, seamless, high-accuracy position, which is robust and effective in all locations on the globe.
